Just in - a watch I fell in lust with the first time I saw it. Gorgeous Movado Datron Reissue with beefy ETA 2894-2 automatic chrono with tricompax, overlapping dials. Perfect 40mm size. Very substantial watch. Came with nice bracelet with solid end links and hidden deployant (although I couldn't get one side out, hence the strap change to genuine alligator with contrast stitch). The price scared me away (cheapest ones around $1200, with gray market all the way to $1700, with silly retail of $2900). I nabbed this off fleabay for just north of $700. As much as I detest ebay, this was a morsel among the junk.

Before anyone scoffs at a modern Movado (brings to mind the quartz Museum series, I know - I actually liked them in the 80s!), this is a very substantial piece with the same underpinning found in Tag Heuer Monaco (calibre 17), Ulysse Nardin marine chrono, Hublot navy, Girard Perregeaux Ferrari, IWC, and Chopard Mille Miglia, among other high-end brands. Pretty rarified air.

Check out the pics including exhibition back displaying the ebouche' 2894. I've included a stock photo of the bracelet.
